Lindsey focuses her practice on advising community associations on compliance and enforcement of their governing documents; adherence to local, state, and federal laws and regulations; and implementation of new policy resolutions. She brings a unique environmental law perspective to the community association practice group.
Lindsey works with associations throughout Northern Virginia to:
- Draft policy resolutions to address the complicated circumstances associations face in the areas of renewable energy, sustainability of natural resources, and technology
- Navigate local land use and zoning issues
- Implement financial strategies to ensure longevity
Prior to joining Rees Broome, Lindsey clerked at the Department of Justice’s Environmental and Natural Resources Division where she worked on complex environmental litigation matters throughout the United States. While attending law school at the University of Richmond, Lindsey interned with the Virginia Office of the Attorney General’s Environmental Section, served as Executive Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology, and was an environmental law research assistant where she authored portions of the hazardous substances chapter in the forthcoming edition of the Oxford Handbook of International Environmental Law.
