Gina Schaecher has represented business clients in commercial disputes in state and federal court for over 15 years. She has served as lead counsel in lengthy complex commercial litigation in courts throughout the United States.
She currently focuses her practice on the representation of owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in construction disputes, corporate governance matters, and general commercial litigation. Ms. Schaecher also successfully represents contractors’ interests in bid protests and contract claims on public projects before various boards of contract appeals including the General Services Board of Contract Appeals and the District of Columbia Contract Appeals Board.

Obtaining a $455,000 judgment for homeowners’ association against the developer on breach of structural warranty claims
Obtaining a $1.3MM award for a hotel developer in arbitration against the landowner concerning the hotel management agreement
Successfully negotiating a $900,000 contractor's acceleration claim on a public works project
Representing a contractor in mediation of claims against a federal agency to recover $217,000 of cost increases on a federal project
In a successful federal case, recovered a contractor's bond payments made to a fraudulent individual surety
Defending a developer against contract claims by the landowner in the course of a residential subdevelopment project
When not representing her construction clients in litigation and alternative dispute resolution proceedings, Ms. Schaecher donates her legal experience and time to advocate animal protection and animal welfare matters at local and federal levels.
