Ursula has represented community associations in Virginia and Maryland for over 20 years. Her clients range from very small (7 homes) to very large (3000+ homes) and are located all over both states. In her practice, Ursula has assisted community associations with various issues, including:
- Amending governing documents, including Plats, Declarations, Bylaws and Architectural Guidelines.
- Providing a training to boards and committees to ensure good governance.
- Filing lawsuits in General District (VA) and Circuit Court to compel compliance with association documents.
- Filing and defending complaints with the Montgomery County Commission on Common Ownership Communities (CCOC).
- Negotiating service and construction contracts.
- Defending associations in Fair Housing complaints.
Ursula has also qualified as an expert witness on community associations in the US Bankruptcy Court for Maryland.
