On January 1, 2016, Montgomery County Bill 45-4 went into effect requiring all members of the board of directors of common interest communities in Montgomery County (except those located within the City of Gaithersburg) to complete a board member training course designed by the Montgomery County Commission on Common Ownership Communities ("CCOC") within 90 days of being elected. While it is not mandatory for board members in other counties, it is a great class regarding board governance and all of our board members in Maryland are invited to attend.
