Overview

Carrie Usera is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Corporate and Business Law group, supporting clients in mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, and a variety of transactional matters.

Before joining the firm, Carrie served as Counsel at Freddie Mac, where she partnered with leaders across risk, compliance, and operations to strengthen governance frameworks, streamline standard agreements, and modernize oversight processes to advance transparency, operational efficiency, and alignment with corporate and regulatory standards.

While at Freddie Mac, Carrie played a key role in advising business partners on the legal and operational impacts that mergers, acquisitions, and other organizational changes among financial institutions had on Freddie Mac. Carrie’s leadership and collaboration earned her Freddie Mac’s Above and Beyond Award for outstanding performance, recognizing her role in the successful transition of a document custodian following its acquisition
